Yesterday I added a new traditional drawing to the gallery, Care. It's a quick emotional piece with the medium I didn't use in a very long time - watercolor pencils.

Hi everyone, I'm not writing updates, but it doesn't mean there are no. I recently moved to a new apartment and still have no internet at home.

Some weeks ago I added a few new items:

a new experimental traditional artwork Fatigue

Bunnies couple earrings

New traditional painting added to the gallery: Sharp tongue. Back to my dark art roots...

I added a new tutorial some time ago, How to turn vector brushes into real vector shapes in Photoshop and Illustrator. It's a short tutorial to get you started if you don't know how to enlarge vector brushes.

If you use Twitter, you can now follow me. I'll post new work and short updates there, and probably a bit of some private gibberish in Croatian.

New brush set

After a long, long time I added new Photoshop brushes. Here's a proof I do listen to your needs — I noticed that one of the keywords you used in searchng brushes was calligraphy so I decided to make this set.
I couldn't find my book about calligraphy so I just improvised with my handwriting.
It's not intended to be used as a font since letter sizes are not equal, but I suppose you can still achieve some nice effects.

Please note, this brush set is made in CS2 so it may not work in older versions.

My favourite month for many reasons, and one of them is birthdays. My own, but other people's too. So I present you two birthday presents I did, one for myself: a traditional mixed media piece Narquelië, and a polymer clay bracelet for a friend Counting sheep.

EDIT : Ok so I have a new drawing up, but I don't want to write a whole new post. Behold, the Cauldron. You can see the pencil lineart at my sketchblog.

I've deleted some of my oldest work. Now my traditional art gallery is sadly empty, but I guess that's better than filled with crappy "art".

In the past month I've been updating regularly, but I didn't write any announcements since it was only crafts I was adding. Today I added two more items, and there will be more in the next week or two, so if you stop by take a look.

So, it's been a while... The main reason behind my long absence is not (as some would think) my life has been "too busy" for updating, but I had nothing to update the site with. I didn't create a single finished artwork in the past long months, and since art is my main content... you get the point.

You may have noticed a new addition: Crafts. It's been up for months, but I haven't announced it because Croatian version didn't work at the time and I simply forgot all about it until today. It contains some of my hand made stuff from the past few years, although that's not nearly everything... but sometimes I give stuff away before I manage to take proper photos.

My main web site may have been dead, but I (pretty much) regularly update my sketchblog with sketches, studies, unfinished or rejected projects etc. Currently there's a lot of stuff from my drawing class posted there.

3 years of obscurity

April 15^th was In obscuro's third birthday. I didn't prepare anything special, so I'll just use this occasion to announce a few events.

First there's Sferakon this weekend, April 25.-27. where I'm going with my friends from "3. Zmaj". I have one simple task to do, and the rest will be mingling and having fun.

Next weekend (May 2.-4.) I'm heading to Konfuzija in Sečovlje, Slovenia. The convention will also feature an exhibition of my digital works.

So that's it. Hopefully I'll have something to upload after all this is over.
