I made this sketch over a year ago, but I didn't like it in the end and left it unfinished. Then a few days ago I felt exhausted, but willing to work on something, and I saw this sketch, and decided to give it a go :)

I love traditional art, but I'm always dissappointed how it looks when scanned or photographed... The shading is more subtle and way better on the original.

Technique inspired by Ann Baldwin, whose book I read and now I'm experimenting with all the materials I kept collecting in my drawers for literally years.

It's a quick painting, ~4 hours.

Fanart for my friend's novel Izvršitelji nauma Gospodnjeg (could be translated as "The Executors of the Lord's Intention"). This was originally painted in May for a show, but it was done over two nights in great haste, the background was horrible and I wanted to fix it before I upload it.
The novel is about vampires and a secret order of catholic priests who fight the forces of evil. Unfortunately, some of them don't have problems with murdering innocent people for the "greater good", like the one shown in the painting.

It took 14 hours of work, I used some references for the axe and chainmail (no references for the priest — that's why he doesn't look so realistic). It's a huge image, around 8300x11800 px, and it was printed as a 70x100 cm poster.
